Veronica M. Barisich is the Presiding Judge in Department 5 of the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada. Elected in November 2020, she took the bench in January 2021.
Professional Background
Before taking the bench, Judge Barisich built a highly respected legal career handling civil litigation, family law, guardianship, and probate matters. In addition to being admitted to practice in the state of Nevada, Judge Barisich is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, the federal district court. She has also served her community in multiple roles, including as a Small Claims Court Judge Pro Tem and on the State Bar of Nevada Fee Dispute Committee.
